Meet the Academy Director:

Christopher Jackson has been involved in dog grooming for over 15 years, He has been training and certifying people in the art of dog grooming for 8 years while working first for Petco and then Petsmart. While at Petco he was a salon manger by the age of 18 years. Eventually moving to Petsmart where he was chosen not only as one of the top 3 Academy Instructors for the entire company, but also had the distinctive title of being one of the top 3 salon mangers in the company too!
Chris' early childhood allowed him to start working with dogs as a bather at the age of 12 years old. It started as a hobby that made a little extra money and loved it so much he still enjoys it today He has worked with dogs in all sorts of ways including dog grooming, dog training, and has even worked as a vet assistant. Mr. Jackson has managed over 15 grooming salons all over California for companies large and small; having even owned a mobile Dog Grooming business and a dog grooming salon in Hollywood, Los Angeles County, California. His journeys have include working with some of the best dog trainers, dog industry professionals. He regularly shows several breeds of dogs such as standard poodles and springer spaniels. Which won several awards in dog grooming competitions, including top 20 in the world at the Super Zoo competition in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada which showcases the best dog groomers in the world!.

Lead instructor

Native to the Pasadena area, Daniel strives to capture the attention of the people he calls neighbors. With a decade of experience, Daniel brings an overcast of knowledge, and a unique technique to safely orchestrate his craft on all types of dogs. Starting his career in 2006 as a “bather,” Daniel quickly excelled in the profession. Within the first-year he shipped off to a grooming academy in Thousand Oaks, CA where he began to obtain the skillset shaping him into the professional he is today.

After 5 years in the industry, Daniel set out to further his career and accepted a Grooming Salon Manager position in 2011. With the salon manager title, he began to fine tune his art, perfecting the overall quality of work you see today. Exceeding expectations in the management field, the only thing left to do was to share his knowledge. In the last 4 years, Daniel mentored new up and coming groomers. Some went on and became very successful in the craft, and others, not so much. Asking about the unsuccessful groomers, he quotes.

Daniel genuinely has a passion for pets, people, and what he likes to refer to as, his artwork. Daniel Managed to build solid clientele bases in 2 different cities, and is here to figure out every pet, and pet parent’s individual needs.

Ely Lin

Ely Lin, US Citizen from Taiwan. Graduated from University of California, Irvine, Economics major. Reside in Sierra Madre, California. Ely is an entrepreneur with a broad experience in financial industry and business operation. She has worked at financial institutions in Los Angeles and Taiwan as Financial Manager, Operation Supervisor, Marketing Director and Loan Officer.
Ely’s strength is in financial and strategic planning, overseeing daily operation and marketing. Ely has assisted in identifying target market and developing the strategic plan for the regional office to successfully increase the market share in both the deposit and loan division. She also oversees the daily operation in assisting customer with all banking needs and handles training, work schedule and internal audit of the office.
Ely’s interest is in dog grooming. As an experienced dog owner, she has taken care of her own dogs from feeding, bathing to grooming on daily basis. With the passionate in caring for dogs, Ely has expanded her knowledge and technical skill by enrolled and completed the advance course with West Coast Grooming Academy and graduated as the top student in the class.
