West Coast Grooming Academy (WCGA) is committed to making a difference in our community. We provide free grooming services to pets in rescues and shelters and participate in monthly community outreach events to offer grooming, food, and donations to pets in low-income communities and homeless shelters. WE Need Volunteers!!!

Additionally, WCGA is dedicated to paving the way for the future of all groomers. We’ve established the first-ever Journeyman program with the Department of Labor, working towards the creation of the first groomers’ union. At WCGA, we understand that pursuing your dog grooming certification can be a significant investment. That’s why we’re committed to offering competitive pricing. We will match any price offered by a Los Angeles-based, BPPE-approved, hands-on dog grooming certification course.

For example, if you find another BPPE-approved school with hands-on training that offers a Certified Groomer program for $6,000, WCGA will match that price! Some exclusions apply, so please call for details.

Pet Parent Workshops are back by popular demand!

If you are interested in exploring a career in pet grooming or simply wish to learn how to groom your own pet, these workshops are a perfect opportunity.

This hands-on class is designed to teach you the basics of home pet grooming

We offer (3) Workshop Options:

**Option 1: $180 per class**

– For Bath and Tidy Trims up to 40LBS

(May accommodate larger breeds based on time needed to complete the groom)

**Option 2: $350 per class**

– For haircuts up to 40LBS

**Option 3: $350-$500 per class**

– Specialty class for Doodle breeds or special needs pets

All classes teach you how to bathe, brush, clean ears, brush teeth, de-mat, grind nails, and cut the hair of your pet.

You’ll also learn basic training and handling techniques, tool usage, pet history, pet nutrition (Q&A), and breed-specific cuts.

Private classes are available at the Arcadia and La Verne location upon request and availability.
