With this express workshop, you will learn how to prevent incidents from happening and how to help the pets in your care should an emergency ever strike.
This course covers topics like:
- Salon Safety & Incident Prevention (including PPE & Muzzling)
- History, Vaccines & Normal Pet Vital Signs
- Stress Signals
- Nicks, Cuts & Bleeding Wounds (including Bandaging)
- Skin Concerns & Conditions Commonly Seen in the Salon
- Allergic Reactions (topical & oral)
- Seizures
- Choking
- Rescue Breathing
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for dogs & cats
- Emergency Procedures
- Grief & What to Do If a Pet Passes
While this class was created with groomers in mind, this class is open to anyone, not just groomers. We warmly welcome anyone to attend, including pet parents, vet techs, pet sitters, dog walkers, daycare & boarding attendants, and any anyone else who loves animals and wants to keep them safe!
